Below is an update on COVID-19 cases across the Eastern Shore.

Maryland added 743 new cases over the past 24 hours, bringing the statewide total to 137,979, with a positivity rate of just over 3%. Wicomico County added 12 new cases and is now up to 2,397 confirmed cases, with a positivity rate of 4.66%, down from 5.17% the previous day. Worcester County added just five new cases and has a positivity rate of 3.73%, up just slightly from the previous day.

In Delaware, 50 new cases were added overnight, bringing the state total to 23,375. The statewide positivity rate is down just slightly, currently at 6.4% compared to the previous day’s 6.6%. Sussex County added 16 new cases, bringing the county total to 7,609, with a positivity rate of 7.5%, down from nearly 10% the previous day.

The state of Virginia added over 1,000 new cases overnight and currently sits at 159,060 confirmed cases. Accomack County added only two new cases overnight.
