Salisbury University has announced a new position to address concerns on campus that arose after racially and sexually charged vandalism was found in Fulton Hall this fall.

The new position will be a Chief Diversity Officer or CDO for short, they’ll report directly to the university president.

We’re told the the the CDO will lead programs and policies for the university that relate to the university’s commitment to diversity and inclusion.

On top of that, they’ll also oversee the newly re-launched Office of Diversity and Inclusion.

In addition, the President has announced the formation of a special task force on diversity and inclusion.

That task force will be comprised of students, faculty, staff, and community members.

They will be charged with submitting a report of findings and recommendations to the administration by early March.
