Georgetown, Delaware – With October being Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Stockley
Tavern hosted its 3rd annual fundraiser for the Delaware Breast Cancer Coalition. This
great organization provides support to men and women in diverse communities to those
who have recently been diagnosed or currently battling breast cancer in Delaware. They
help those with low incomes and those with little or no insurance receive free or reducedcost care.
On the afternoon of October 22nd, Stockley Tavern held a cornhole tournament, hosted by
Delaware Cornhole, guest bartender competition, silent and live auctions, 50/50 raffle and
more.
We are excited to announce that we raised $98,000!
Connie Holdridge, Program Director for Sussex County for Delaware Breast Cancer
Coalition, said: “We can’t do what we do without the support of generous people and
businesses like you. The vision of the agency is to create a community where every person
diagnosed with breast cancer becomes a survivor, and fear and doubt are replaced with
knowledge and hope.”
We would like to thank our guest bartender teams: Nate Benson with Tony Banks, Lance
Mears with Jesse Long, Josh Wharton with Will Klemkowski, “Bronco” Barry Adkins with
Gino Giuliano, and Rob Meding with Shannon Morris and Max Robichaud.
