Delaware woman charged with DUI after hitting police vehicle

A Delaware woman has been charged with vehicular assault and driving under the influence after she was involved in a crash in Rehoboth Beach with a state police vehicle. Delaware State Police said in a news release that the collision happened around 3 a.m. Sunday when the woman, who was speeding, struck the rear of a fully marked police SUV. Both cars left the roadway as a result of the crash. Police said the trooper was taken to a hospital with injuries not considered life-threatening. The woman wasn’t injured. She was arrested and was being held on bond.
