Shore Up, Inc. has released a statement involving the ongoing investigation into a reported assault incident involving a faculty member and a child.

The statement says the following:

“Shore Up, Inc. is working diligently with the appropriate authorities to properly deal with all aspects of the incident, the most important of which is ensuring the safety and proper treatment of all Shore Up students. The discretion to arrest the employee, the nature of the charges, and the general prosecution of any criminal charges rests with the Somerset County State’s Attorney and the police. Shore Up cannot comment any further at this time as the investigation of this matter is ongoing.”
