Milford Police say an investigation is underway after eight vehicles were stolen from a local dealership earlier this week.

According to police, to report came in at around 7:40 a.m. Tuesday, from the IG Burton on N. Rehoboth Boulevard. It was then learned that eight new vehicles had been stolen from the dealership, including five 2019 police model Dodge Chargers with no emergency equipment, two 2019 Dodge Durangos, and a Dodge RAM 2500 Quad Cab.

Police were able to quickly develop suspect leads, leading detectives to the Dover area. Dover Police and Delaware State Police assisted Milford Police as the investigation developed.

By 9:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dover Police had recovered all eight stolen vehicles, which they say were hidden throughout their city and the surrounding area. All of the vehicles are currently secured in police impounds.

We’re told there are no public safety concerns since all vehicles were recovered by police. Several juveniles and young adults have been identified as suspects in this case.

This investigation remains open and active, and updates will follow as arrests are made.
