Sussex County Habitat For Humanity had volunteers help build homes on Martin Luther King Day.
Local Families were hammering nails and cutting plywood helping construct homes for those in need.
Rachel Grier-Reynolds began building homes on this day nine years ago. She says, "I gave all my children tool belts for Christmas and said we are going to build on M.L.K. DAY."
Rachel thinks King as a hero and has inspired more of her family and friends over the years.
Sussex County Habitat For Humanity director Kevin Gilmore says, "King use to say that everyone can be great because everyone can serve and that is where this idea came from."
Gilmore adds that the homes are interest free and that they hope to have them completed soon with a family inside as quick as possible.
