Queen Anne County Sheriff Gary Hoffman reports a deputy shot earlier this month has been released from the Hospital.


Hoffman says "Very very happy to report that Deputy First Class Scott Hogan has been discharged from Shock Trauma and is currently on his way home as I type this!"

Hogan, 32, is a four-year veteran of the Queen Anne's County Sheriff's Office.

He had gone to a home in the Chestertown area to help a woman gather her things after a domestic abuse call, when he was shot by James Rich.

Hogan, fired back and fatally shot Rich.
