Jay Z was out and about at the 2017 Sundance Film festival promoting his docuseries, Time: The Kalief Browder Story.
The film is actually a six-part docuseries based on the life of Kalief Browder, a 16 year old boy from New York that was arrested on false charges of robbery and put in Rikers Island prison for three years without conviction before his case was dismissed. Browder committed suicide in 2015 after being released from prison. The producers of the series are hoping for legislative changes within the criminal justice system. Be on the look out for the public premiere on Spike sometime this year. Check out the trailer below:
